Nice. They're the first band I thought of too. 1996 and Yoyo are incredible and the rest ranges from decent to great. But then again I love the vocals, so...

Bumped my score for this again. All the tracks I didn't like at first I now enjoy.

Time and listens have somewhat evened this out for me. I'm never going to like Taxonomy, but it does stop the album from sounding too-samey from beginning to end. I can appreciate that. I've moved it up to a 4, but I think that's as far as I'm going.

For perspective I listened to the new Flaming Lips and it didn't hold a candle to this. For me, that was telling. There's still a couple tracks here that aren't great but as a whole experience this is definitely my favorite psych album in quite some time (as someone who barely dabbles in the genre, to be fair).

I haven't listened to that one yet. I guess I should do that... Not to jump the gun, but I'm very interested to see what these guys do next. There's a lot of nice stuff going on here, and those first few songs are killers.

1996 is such a jam, easily one of the best songs of the year. Still can't believe these guys haven't gotten more attention.

Yoyo hit me hard on first listen. At that exciting stage of uncovering the other tracks as I patiently wade through people's (Sowing's) year end lists. Good pick, sir!

Glad you found this enjoyable. This is another really well kept secret from a loaded year. These guys are definitely on par with The Flaming Lips and MGMT in terms of psychedelic pop.

1996 is the most fun and immediate song of the last few years. Yoyo is also awesome. The rest of the album needs to grow, but as you can see in my review score vs current, it did for me.

Probably prefer this album to anything The Flaming Lips have done since Yoshimi and anything MGMT has ever done period

And those are my two favorite psychedelic pop bands lol
