This seems to be getting a less favorable reception than I'd hoped anat so while my expectations aren't high for a matching 4+, I hope you do find some enjoyment here.

That's what I liked about it.

wasn't into the vocals, thin and unmemorable. the music was pleasant but nothing we haven't heard before

I agree that the vocals could use more variation and personality. I love the music though. Might have to chalk this up to a right place right time experience for me. Definitely doesn't seem to be impacting others the same way.

Tried most of the album again...this must be right up your street Sowing because I really can't see how anyone could rate this above the new Big Thief :/

Haha the new BT is excellent but it wore off me a bit. This might do the same but I'd consider them about on par with one another.

didn't wear off me but it's at a 4/5 ceiling, can't seem to bond with it further

I gave this a fresh listen today (4th total) and it only made me want to double down on my review. Definitely get that this isn't for everyone but even the vocals that I criticized a few comments earlier have a minimal Glen Hansard thing going on. Will have to just disagree on this one and still marvel at the fact that luci, doofus, anat, and I have found so much other common ground this year ;-)

Gave this a go and found it a bit too...light, I guess? I can see how it might appeal but just didn't take for me unfortunately. Certainly not unpleasant though.

Guess it's more of a Sowing-core album then lol. That's alright, I'll eventually break this out on my year end list and it'll be a unique enough entry that maybe some more people will check it out.

Just listened to this two times through back to back, nothing seems overly memorable but there's something charming about it that will probably bring me back. Very pleasant listen.

Nice, SV. That's the same general impression I got. Like, lo-fi isn't meant to be super memorable, but this really sounds beautiful in the moment.

Coming back to this, this had been growing on me. Honestly one of my favorites of the year so far.
