I meant to feature this a couple days ago but got sidetracked.
This sounds like it'd be right up my alley, I'm excited to give it a go.

Congrats on the feature sir.
Sowing you should enjoy it if you like your emo pop-punky and somewhat twinkly!

Loving this, glad for the review or I never would have found it. Rusted and Valediction are my two favorites so far but it's a remarkably consistent album. I can tell it will only get better with time.

Settling on a 3.7 for now, there's a few stretches I'm not in love with but this definitely has some great songs. Lots of Wonder Years and Dangerous Summer vibes.

Oh hey, I appreciate the feature!! Glad you guys are enjoying this! The Dangerous Summer vibes are something I hadn’t considered as much, but I can definitely hear it. These guys wear their influences on their sleeves, but still manage to sound fresh.
I think if I’m honest with myself it would be closer to like a 4.6-4.7, but a 5 never hurt anyone! The lyrics are kind of blunt, but honestly that’s part of the reason why I enjoy it I think. Something different.

Think ill listen to this

This is a really fun record - wasn't even on my radar before this review. This has the energy and hooks of a Wonder Years record, but the more intricate guitar work keeps me interested longer than that band.

Hope you enjoy Ponton!
And yeah, the guitar really keeps bringing me back, it’s a step above their peers in my opinion (Although I do love The Wonder Years, they’re probably in my top 5 bands).

Wonder Years meets midwest emo, well played, lyrics are pretty derivative and uninspired though.

I dig the ambient sections quite a bit. Like most emo these guys fail to give me any reason to care about their supposed misery.

Yeah I’m pretty sure the lyrics will cause me to bump this down at some point. I think in terms of immediacy they serve their purpose really well and add to the mood of the album, but returning to them over time they won’t hit as hard.
But for the moment, still jamming this hard. Maybe not a classic, but I guess I’ll figure that out over time!

Very first track gave me some serious Hotelier vibes. Shame the rest of the the album didn’t follow the rest of that vibe.
Digging this album though.

im really tempted to 2.5 this. instrumentally this is really good, but the frontman is such an over the top whiny "poor me" little bitch type that i cant look past it.
