I follow their drummer on youtube and dude's a beast. Shame the band is so formulaic.

As generic as the first record was, it was enjoyable enough. I especially liked how the singer sounded like a young Chris Volz of the band Flaw. The lyrics of the harsh vocals guy was kind of cringe, but it was a fun enough little album that I still on occasion come back to. Sadly, I kind of half expected they would go this route on their next record. So many bands before them did the exact same thing. It's wonder why some of these bands start in the metalcore/pop/punk genre to begin with.

Bow Down is fun and Hurricane is sadly a guilty pleasure, but the rest of this was just pure crap.

Never really listened to these guys until I came across Bow Down. It's a fun song, so I thought the album might be worth checking out. Sadly, it's by far the best on this record and the rest is not really worth the time imo.

Sold out tour in my country, don't understand how this band is apparently huge. Might just be because Motionless are supporting tho.

I decided to check these guys out cause they're headlining the tour that Pierce the Veil is coming back for and Jesus the clean vocalist is AWFUL. Body Bag is actually a pretty decent song but when the cleans came in for the chorus I was thinking that they can't be fucking serious.

This is so bad and feels almost like a parody of metalcore at times. Bow Down is decent though. I cannot wait to listen to True Power now lol.

They did, in fact, let us down with that album.



I did catch I Prevail at Sonic Temple last year and they were rather good live. They leaned into their metalcore side, which if they had just done in the first place I wouldn’t have disliked the album this much, though I was a bit too harsh and would give this a 2 now.
