She already seems keen to make another album as soon as this one's died down. I agree it's short but I expect it won't be too long before we hear from her again.

yeah the best songs are where the folk, post rock and black metal all collide, like Solus Ipse and Sovran Shrines. But that sounds like a pretty natural next step for her to take if she writes anything else.

but yeah good writeup, pos

Informative review, good job.

I’m in the countryside at the moment, so this album suits me perfectly, however I think it gets too safe and overly contemplative at times.

Aphasia is quite enjoyable.

The softer sections definitely are a harder sell for folks who are craving the metal-heavy mixes like I was at first. The more contemplative moments end up being growers I found.

Could just be because I find her voice just so damn good. She could be singing over the sounds of a blender and I would probably click with it lol.

The only thing that bothers me is the occasional hi-fi production in her voice that allows to hear little clicks and mouth noises.

Otherwise, good album.

Im really enjoying this wish there was some more use of unclean vocals, but as someone else said that could just be a lack of confidence in them.

@Dewinged: That's funny you hear that, I can't for some reason when I go back and listen. My ears probably aren't as attuned to those details as yours lol.
