My god none of this side of the band is genuine. It shows that they’re TRYING to be mainstream. Hell his delivery even reminds me of Jared Leto sometimes. Like it’s weird but the way he tries to add a kind of croon to his voice just pisses me off lol if you know what I’m describing in the singers clean vox.

I think the artwork is terrible, weird little figurine - like a finntroll album cover haha.

It's really accesible, I think it's their best album in 8 years, but that's not saying much.

It’s better than the past 2 I’ll give it that. But yeah, still terrible.

yea I think the problem with those albums carried over but just wasn't as prevalent. I already gave the previous 2 pretty generous ratings, so it wouldn't make any sense for me to have this any lower than I have it.

There are times are this has some cool riffs and a nice atmosphere but vocally and lyrically, as well as musically this band is just irredeemable. This is irritatingly harmless and bland alternative metal.

I think the main reason I enjoy this is because my expectations were so low that it exceeded them by not being completely awful so it sounds better than it actually is

Oh and @Mongi: I'm not sure I hear that in Anders' vocals tbh

I like it more than him but still yeah bland alternative metal (with some minor melodic metalcore leanings) is exactly what this is

Not a carbon copy but just in the way he croons

Ok on 2nd listen deep inside is actually pretty cool. It's got a pretty radass solo

His clean singing isn't that far off from the way it was 10-15 years ago, so I'm still kind of not sure I'm seeing what you're seeing Mongi. Like compare the title track of Come Clarity to Stay With Me, he sounds pretty similar on both.
