I like the album, it serves it's purpose and thats to make it's listeners enjoy themselves. Nice to have a great CD accompanied but an even better review.

This is a great album. It's really a continuation from their first cd, sure, but that cd was remarkably mature even for a debut.

sure, it's similar to their first album...only because they have such a distinct and unique sound...i reckon this moves far enough from their last album to be considered fresh material... the only song which was perhaps a bit too similar to the first album was pins and needles... other than that it's a great album.

Meh, I've heard a couple singles and I'm not too pleased. I'll probably won't look any further into this.

I've seen Red Flag on Burnout Revenge but yeah, its not an actual single.

BTW, on the cd it shows #10 being called The Navy Song but when i put it on my computer it calls it In The Fall. Anyone know why?
|

Maybe I expected too much from Billy Talent on their second album, but it didn't do anything for me. Maybe if I listen to it more it will grow on me, but after the first listen (almost 2 months ago) I already wrote it off as 'I'm glad my friend bought it before I could'. Yes.. I am 'that guy' that doesn't like Billy Talent's album.. but I loved the first. Je ne sais pas. Plus they're not exactly the best live performance in the world either... in fact I'd go so far as to say that everytime I've seen them, it hasn't been a pleasure to my ears.

If you listened to "Pezz", The Band before they were known as Billy Talent, you would notice that the new Album sounds Like they mixed "Pezz" with the old Album Of Billy Talent, In my opinion, the old album was better then Billy Talent II. It doesnt have another energy in the songs.,...and the lyrics are a big step from problems that most people can relate too, to lyrics about.. ,...I dont even what theyre trying to say in their songs!

i dont know why people say these two cds sound the same. i only see a few similarities, this one is way poppier then the last one. i dont really like this i heard it a lot at my friends and its not to good, imo, red flag is awesome though.
