Good review, it's 100% how I feel about this album too. Considering that DT have always been one of my favourite bands and biggest influences for the past 20+ years, it was sad to see them go down the hole they've been into for the past few years. Fortunately they've learned from their mistakes and here they've shown that despite not being at the top of their game anymore (obviously) they can still do more than just fine. And at this point of their career, I'm more than ok with that.

nice review, i still can't believe Mangini drum sound hasn't change since DT12. feel robotic except his snare drum sound like mocking some stuff from IaW but he failed into it!

i'm still waiting his good drumming composition maybe after 2 releases in the future

@Toondude: It's probably my favorite track on the album.

@Henderson: Exactly. I've gotten plenty of strong dopamine hits from DT over the years, so I don't mind too much what they do with their music as long as they can keep themselves in check, unlike on TA.

At Wit's End is so good, but I really don't get the 1 minute fade out on the solo. I'm used to it now, but why not keep the volume up for a bit longer

i can take labrie more than other singers of his "style" so to say, but yeah he's pretty grating at times.

He has a really unique timbre though, for better or worse. I don't know one singer who sounds similar to him

Hard agree. I was actually caught off guard by it. Nice little change up from the usual formula though
