Listening to Bellum on their MySpace, I can make out bits and pieces here and there, although it takes a few listens (some incorrect pronunciation throws you off). The song titles help, considering it tells you what words to listen for. The first verse seems to be the most clear. For example, he begins talking about shields (scuta) on the earth (or soil) (telus). And then, a little while later something about something severe (asperum) (I'm assuming a battle, considering the title) that is about to begin.

The only other release by these guys is their 2 song demo, and only one of those songs isn't on this album.

The folk stuff gets old but the black metal parts are ace for the most part.
This is definitely a good album but there's nothing on here that makes me want to listen to this over and over.This Message Edited On 12.19.07

Never really understand the constant Summoning comparisons. The only similarity I can really draw is both bands being black metal and having synths. Aside from that, the whole atmosphere/energy is completely different.
