that's so funny considering the lyrics to songs like Shotgun Wedding and Habeas Corpus.

Yeah, kinda funny some of the stuff that would show up in those kinds of stores and obviously marketed as Christian. Some of these bands would pretend to be something they’re not to get on a label that’s hot at the time. And then some of the labels were willing to compromise on “well, what’s really Christian anyways?”

in this band's case, they were Christian when Solid State signed them but by the time they started recording an album they'd had a few lineup changes and weren't anymore. apparently Solid State wasn't too happy with the album they got so they dropped them and Roadrunner snatched them up soon after.
