This is only 1.5 worse than Siamese Dream? A top 10 album of the 90s.

Really? Against this - not in the top 10,010 of 2018

I mean I have like 20 5s and 400 3.5s so it's about right if you ask me

@neekafat no way, Travels to me was one of the highlights on the album! Travels, Silvery Sometimes, and Marching On have my vote for top tracks.

But cmon man, no way is travels worse than some songs the pumpkins have trotted out in the past decade or so. More than half of Zeitgeist is so offensively worse. Wildflower was incredibly dull, Run 2 Me still makes me cringe, and there's only one or 2 songs from the entire Teargarden saga that are worth hearing. Travels to me at least, is a very good and interesting step in the right direction for the newly incarnated pumpkins.

"If Siamese Dream is a 5 this just has to be a 1.5"

This is easily avoided with the realization that Siamese Dream is a 3.0

When overblown 90s radio rock stops being held to high standards, I'll willingly get in my own coffin and stay there.

@Doof I tried but my breath just fogged up his bald head

Mayonaise, Soma, Disarm, Quiet, Today, and Hummer alone make it a 4 at least

Always look on the bright side of life

If life seems jolly rotten,

There's something you've forgotten!

@Wildcardbitchesss thank you, it's my crowning (and only) achievement on this site

the fact he has this pile of excrement at a 2 is even more damning than having Siamese a 3 ;D

I've rated every SP album since Mellon Collie a 2.0, it's honestly a bit unsettling.

I should hate this more, is what I'm saying.

You should

Mellon Collie sounded like it took 50 years to write and record, for better or worse

This sounds like it took 50 hours to write and record, only for the worse

Hey, some great shit has been recorded in only a few days.

Don't knock the method, knock the talent behind it.

Horses for courses

Billy boy isn’t about to go lo-fi or punk - this just sounds rushed out, recycled and uninspired

It’s just something to put out to support the tour

The gospel choir must've taken at least 3 hours, c'mon now. Give them some credit.

s'okay

probably the second best thing they've released since the original "reuinion" (aka Zeitgeist) w/ only one track i'd say was all-out bad

Hopefully they step it up a bit more on Vol 2 and even more hopefully get fucking rid of Rick Rubin

tbh i wish they'd just work with whoever engineered that last Jimmy Chamberlin Complex record

for one thing, one of the greatest drummers of a generation wouldn't be mixed & edited to sound like a drum machine
