potentially infelicitous comparison but this kinda reminds of Silent Alarm! it hits the same nicotine receptors that my favourite kind of rock does, has a similar kind of urgent/confused/comforting sound, people i really like invariably like it etc.

So I liked it, but a lot of the songs wore off after a while. Backbone will continue spinning for a while, though, and I really like it as a song.

edit: yeah this bangs, Weather Song and Entice Me both rule. This reminds me of Trophy Eyes' Chemical Miracle, and not just because they're both post-hardcore albums that showed up in mid-fall to mess up my year-end lists
