>I wanted to love this but a lot of it feels like empty space a lot of the time and not justifying a lot of the song lengths.

I can understand that. For me, the only time I really feel it is during "The Task." In "Ecstasy of Unbecoming," there's a stretch from about 07:15–12:30 that I think fits very well, but maybe lasts a little long.

This album is way too self-indulgent.

"> i do believe this was recorded before their session with Keiji Haino, just a note

Their Bandcamp page notes suggest otherwise, but I haven’t read anything concrete either way to be sure."

The Keiji Haino album was recorded during their Japanese tour for What One Becomes, which puts the date of it being July 2017. The earliest the band mentioned they were recording this album was via a picture on their Facebook from September 2017 with the caption "Studio day 2. #III" but as the press release stated, they wrote the album before "American Dollar Bill..." was even considered a thought.

Aaron does a Wilhelm Scream during The Task lol. Not really, but I call his high pitch scream during the 2nd half of the track as such cause it reminds me of one, haha.

It's taken many listens, but I'm gonna settle on a 4 for now. Might bump it to a 4.5 though, because this is one of the best records I've heard this year and it is monstrous

"Official Nick Yacyshyn fan club member #1 reporting in"

I think there'd be more members of the Nick Yacyshyn Fan Club. Such a joy to watch. I'll never forget recently during the most recent tour as he and Brian walked on stage at the start of the show I gave out a big "YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" to Nick and he straight up laughed at me, hahaha.

Ok u guys can join my fan club. Between him and Tyler from Yautja and then the guy from Portrayal of Guilt, heavy music has some absolutely nasty drummers out right now.

All insane drummers. Speaking of PoG, super looking forward to that debut LP.
