Does the notion that they're shitty people affect you're rating of this album Tranqyl?

From demanding that the guitarist of Of Mice and Men fetch the bassist of Code Orange an entirely new bass on stage midset, to asserting that they don't want to tour with "bargain bin deathcore bands" (with the subtext being that they believe themselves to be better than a large chunk of the heavy scene), to shamelessly self promoting over and over again while opening at The Dillenger Escape Plan's final show, and finally to their overall pretentious demeanor which can be seen through their twitter page and the interviews that have been conducted of them. It's pretty evident that they are extremely full of themselves, and have very little respect for most other musicians.
That said, I try to separate the art from the artist. This release in particular didn't get a higher rating from me because it's two songs and a bland remix. I like both of the new tracks, but as I said earlier, nothing this band has ever released has really blown me away except for Bleeding in the Blur. I enjoy their sound and I do think that they're on to something, but it's not cohesive enough yet.

While I'm not flat out asserting Code Orange are shitty people, I've noticed some band members have come off as a bit overstated and arrogant. I would personally be more bothered by it if I didn't feel like their music didn't back them up. I share Tranqyl's ability to largely separate the art from the artist. I also appreciate his pragmatic approach. I feel that's somewhat lacking on a site that designed to discuss music.

It all sounds like it was all incohesively chopped and spliced together. I thought being chopped and screwed was just for T-Pain in 2009, not metalcore bands.

Tell me you've never been on the TOTH discord or interacted with Jami, Joe, or ESPECIALLY Reba or Shade before. It's called kayfabe; plenty of bands do it. And about the bargain bin deathcore band thing? He wasn't exactly wrong. At least CO had the capacity to stand out compared to bands they'd play festivals with back in 2018 or prior, I don't think that's inaccurate to say.
