A few good songs, nothing special though. Definitely lacks something, an atmosphere or something (a few others instrumental tracks ?) that would hold all these songs together..

The problem with this record is indeed the lack of atmosphere. It's just a collection of rock songs with a (very vague) common lyrical theme. I like the title track cause it has some synths and it has good melodies, but the other songs are just cruise control Tremonti...

Damn, I want to like this more, but several songs get me going with the intro/verse, and then it seems like a shitty chorus barrels its way into the song and kinda ruins it.
Maybe my extra enjoyment of Dust has raised the bar a little too high for the follow up album.

The lack of Wolfgang is painfully obvious on this.
Tremonti needs him back

I didn't pay much attention to this when it came out but it has really grown on me.
I wasn't expecting much from the new album but it turned out to be very solid from start to end. It will probably end up being my favorite Tremonti album.
