This is so average. the guitar work saves it and the vocals are so monotone and tepid. the dude literally sings one note for half his lines. The first couple songs are cool but by the end it just all starts to sound the same. The closing track saves the album from being a 2 out of 5

Been listening to this non-stop, like it now even more than my initial review (and The Botanist is pretty good too). I'm a bit disappointed to hear this Leagues Beneath track come out after the album! Why wasn't it included? Heck, if they offered a "deluxe" edition with this track and "The Clarity" as bonus tracks, I would buy it in an instant and give it 5 stars.

This is hypnotizing stuff, much like Dopesmoker. A little more engaging than that, actually. Everything is crushingly heavy, it's awesome, tho I think I still prefer their Holy Mountain style.
