I got this today, it's such a good album. I can't stop listening to it right now, I'm just in the perfect mood for it.
Also, this was a fantastic review.

God I love this album so much. One of my favourite albums ever right now. Great review too, I was sure that I had posted in this when it was written, but apparently not.

Best album. Thanks for Happymeal for getting me into this band. I'm ordering this cd tomorrow.

I love everything that I've heard by this band, this album is awesome. Good review too.

This is a damn good Cd, Explosions in the sky are brilliant. 'The Only Moment We Were Alone' and 'Your Hand In Mine' are easilly the best songs on the CD and by the band in general. Can't wait for the next release.
Has anyone got the score for that movie they did... Friday Night something....(i forget the name, its about american football) i cant seem to find it anywhere.

It's good but I don't think it is as good as you say it is. The songs seem to blend together. This Message Edited On 09.06.05

I absolutely love this album.
Favourite tracks:
The Only Moment We Were Alone
Your Hand In Mine
However, all of the tracks are solid.
Nice job on the review.

What upsets me is that it all sounds too similar. It's still good, just a little boring in some places.

That song was on Friday Night Lights.

There were two variations of Your Hand in Mine on Friday Night Lights. There were: Your Hand In Mine (With Strings) and Your Hand In Mine (Goodbye).

I listened to "Your Hand in Mine" on their MySpace. It's one of the most gorgeous songs that I have heard.
Eat shit, Sigur Ros.

Sigur Ros > Explosions in the Sky
I've only really listened both bands debut albums, and I'm giving the edge to Sigur Ros just because I like it better. They are both excellent albums but Sigur Ros just appeals to me more at the time.

I don't like sigur ros that much :/
Mono is my favorite post-rock band along with bardo pond.

Sigur Ros are the most accessable post-rock band, as most of their music is conventional with easily digested melodies. Their music is pretty brief considering other post-rock bands like Godspeed You! Black Emporer.

Damnit, Wanker, your reviews are hogging all of mine's glory.
I would also require linkage to the band's Myspace.

I have to disagree and say that Tortoise is the most accessible post-rock band, there music is so smooth and jazzy. I don't find Sigur Ros very accessible, and I think it's the vocals.

I haven't heard Tortoise.

This album consists of the most beautiful sounds that one could ever experience. I think that it has helped me to see and apreciate all the gorgeous aspects of this life (maybe i'm beein a little too deep, but I'm feelin it right now). This album alone can almost prove that their is a God and that he encourages us to express our feelings and thoughts. Granted i'm only a college student and I am just starting to explore all the aspects of life. This album helps me to see the beauty of every individual. Oooooh and it's also the perfect cd to rock out too when high as a kite.
