Great review my friend. Lars is a douche most of the time, but the drumming drives this record. His performance is one of the best in thrash history. I once read he went through 100 drum skins while recording this. Also, Sanitarium is not only the best song on the album, it’s also the best Metallica song ever made.

Lars may not be the best drummer out there, but he's certainly underrated in terms of how many kickass moments he had on those early records (and even a few of the later ones). His work on MoP and Justice definitely needs to be appreciated more, that's for sure. Plus, I think a lot of his strengths come from how well he works in regards to the chemistry of Metallica's band members. Kinda like Ringo from The Beatles in that sense.
