"Ben Threw's groove is fucking sexy tbh"
Ain't that right? They had something special back then. Awesome riffs and screams. Restoring Force seemed largely influenced by BMTH's Sempiternal (which was another huge let-down for me), but while the latter had some okay tracks at least, RF was utterly boring all the way through.
Anyway, this album is a far cry from The Flood; and thinking back now, even that one was kind of generic.

This band needs to break up, they ditched their two original vocalists.

Totally agree about this mix, everything feels so suffocated and flat. Reminds me of the production on REAL by The Word Alive except with far less interesting instrumental work.

Forever YDG'n is a solid track, but most of the other tracks are pretty boring.

REAL does have a bit of a similar mix

The guitar and drum mixing/production in the breakdown section in Defy sounds so weak it's genuinely disappointing.

I like REAL, but yeah not a fan of the production style there. Compression sucks ass.

Dark Matter has pretty nice production, nice and punchy when it needed to be but managed to nail the cleaner sections too

Dark Matter has good production but the overall quality of the album is questionable

Dark Matter is my favorite from TWA honestly, the atmosphere is delicious
