Heart of the Sunrise is A++. Sure, Roundabout's a classic, but still.

Thanks for comment my review Saros.

Nice to join to you around the prog journey of Yes. It is a nostalgic trip. Nice job with the review as usual. Have a pos.

It's a pity you have not reviewed the two first albums of Yes. It would be nice too.

This album has always been a weird one for me. I love the longer tracks like Roundabout, Heart of the Sunrise, and South Side of the Sky, but the short interlude tracks have never been interesting or necessary to me. Granted, Long Distance Runaround is great, but songs like Cans and Brahms just seem like a total waste to me

@ Intruder

Maybe you're right. But I decided to review in the next times only their albums from their golden era, the 70's. Surely I'll review also those albums in time. That is for sure.

@ SoccerRiot

Thanks for your comment. As you know, I think the same despite some positive points on some of those tracks.

When I was young, I used to think the lyrics were "Lose one ARM to the heart of the sunrise".

@SoccerRiot;

Sad the interludes do such a bad effect on you. ''Cans and Brahms'' is the only one that really don't fit in imo. Sounds like an excerpt of an epic classical piece that I think would be great in a Wakeman's solo work context. ''Five Per Cent For Nothing'' is another one that seems out of place, but it's the ''obligatory'' Bruford's individual track that delivers an intricate drum pattern. It's somewhat like a drum solo suited by the other instruments, ending up sounding like Gentle Giant. I wish they developed that one. Everything else in the album is welcome to me.

I wish that ''Roundabout'', ''South Side of the Sky'' and ''Heart of the Sunrise'' would have had more impact on you.

On the contrary, I'm a huge fan of Roundabout, South Side, and Heart of the Sunrise. It's just a lot of the shorter songs that seem more out of place. I do enjoy the album as a whole, even though I much prefer Close to the Edge

What I'm trying to say is that the strenghts of Fragile overshadow (is it the good word, i'm not sure) its negligible weakness, and so for me, it can't be lower than a 4/5 ;)

Close to the Edge is so rich and so tight, I love every seconds of it, and it's up there with the greatest prog albums ever.

Agreed with Jethro specifically about how Close to the Edge is so great. Rocked that album last week.

I should probably listen to more Yes sometime. Fragile is the only album I've heard in full and it's mostly because of Roundabout admittedly. I've heard bits and pieces of Close to the Edge but never gave it a complete listen, though I probably should since it seems to be everyone's favorite Yes album.

You must do that Saros, because it's the best album from Yes, one of the best prog albums ever and also because my next review will be about it, ah,ah,ah.
