I haven't even heard of those guys... I'll have to give them a listen, especially if the vocals are like this

Anyways, I didn't like this album. I loved their first album. You guys should listen to Midwest Modesty by Before Their Eyes. Just recently discovered it and its blowing my mind

Briefly listened to these guys. I wish bands would stop doing clean vocals in this style. How are these guys compared to silent planet?

Really great review. Love this kind of short and straight to the point style. As for the album, I liked their previous one quite a bit but haven't had a desire to spin this one yet. I'll get around to it sometime though, I'm just not huge into metal at the moment.

Thanks man. If you liked the previous one, you'll probably like this one quite a bit too. It's a bit less melodic and more atmospheric, but I think it was a good direction to take

"Don't really like this, sounds like mediocre modern metalcore to me"

That's fair. There are definitely moments where they descended into typical metalcore tropes, and those are usually the weakest aspects of the album

"keyboards are a nice touch but otherwise this is generic af"

Yeah, the keyboards were a nice addition here

I'm usually bothered by too much ideology in bands' music, especially when it comes to religion. But I might check this out

I think it works better if the ideology is expressed in a way that's different from the norm. Here's it's expressed in a much darker and more defeated light, which makes it more interesting
