Only thing that annoyed me was that this band teamed up with Bungie and Activision to do a dual Asking Alexandria / Destiny 2 pre-order bundle. That game doesn't deserve to be near this masterpiece.
@Art: Not a fan of what ya saw man?

That's one reason why I avoid rating stuff. Sometimes you wind up finding out way more about a person than you wanted and your eyes can't unsee.

Eh, what someone rates something doesn't even remotely affect how I view them as a person unless they're doing it for spiteful reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of the music.

This was sounding like a hard 2

That's a really level-headed way to look at it, I feel the same way for the most part but not gonna lie, if I see someone has, say, a Tool album at 2.5 or something... that respect is never getting regained.

Steak wait till you jam the rest, I get why a lot of people don't dig Into The Fire, but this album has such nice variety to it.
@Art: Naw man, if someone can back up their points I'll respect their reasoning for off-kilter ratings even if I don't agree with it. I know a person who wrote a 12 page essay on why he felt Led Zeppelin is actually the worst band ever to record music and it was really poignant.

@Mayhem: Because of the score or because you felt I didn't back up my points well, and aww love you too fam.

I try to listen to the rationale and I'm curious but most of the time the reasoning just feels like inarticulate contrarian nonsense. Then again, I'm an opinionated asshole.

@Mayhem: Just read the review man, this album actually has a track influenced by Explosions in the Sky. Album rules so fucking hard.
@Art: Eh, I'm not a contrarian and I hate most contrarians that I talk to because they just come across as edgy to me. People should rate music how they enjoy it, along with analysis of its objective qualities, and ignore anything else about it (such as a band / performer's social standing or reputation)

Listening to where did it go and it just sounds like modern radio metal.

I think that statement has a lot of problems with it but I get where your heart is at (I think...)
Btw even more off-topic, that new deep house Black Malachite track you sneakily released a few days ago was such a deep offence to my ears that I want to press charges. I can't say I enjoyed Snide Remarks much but that track made me really re-examine that EP's artistic merit. Hope your collab with that dude goes a lot better (I frequent kingdom leaks)

@art: Man that's not gonna be on an EP, that was just a stand-alone track I did to utilize the Fronz sample pack that he released.
|

I figured it was at least somewhat a joke track but damn that hurt for a second after your last single was so promising.

Imagine having Asking Alexandria and Falling in Reverse as your top two albums in 2017
|

It's really pushing the limits of the open mind right? Snide is cool but his taste is major shite. He makes better music than half the shit he listens to.

I love you man. Keep it up!

@art: "He makes better music than half of the shit he listens to", tbh I take that as a REALLY big compliment. Thanks man!
@Cynic: Thank you dude!
@Mayhem: Love you babe
@Sempi: It's not hard to imagine considering FIR and AA are my two AOTYs lol
