I really enjoy this album. It's one of the few CDs I can listen to and never get tired of. Amazing drum work and horn sections tie the band together.
Good review, Dylan.

Everybody at some point and time should atleast give this album a listen. In most cases, you will walk away wanting to buy it. After a couple years, and knowing all the words, this CD just doesn't get old. It's just that good.

I kind of agree.
This is truly an essential 3rd wave ska album. A lot of people often dismiss the genre as trash after hearing many mainstream acts such as Reel Big Fish, No Doubt, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. The catch is that none of these bands really play like Streetlight can. Although I'm not as big of a Streetlight fan as many others I still think this must be heard if you dislike or like 3rd wave ska.

QFT
Most ska I've heard (especially 3rd wave) I've hated, but I absolutely love this band.

Tom Kalnoky is lyrically gifted in ways I sadly shall never understand. This CD is nothing short of pure inspiration and greatness. Everything Went Numb, Point/Counterpoint, We Are The Few,Here's To Life, and The Big Sleep are the best on the CD, but this is one of the few CD's that I own that I can easily put it in and listen to the whole thing straight through.

Hey, this is just all around a great album. I'd like a little more guitar myself, but it certainly stands on its own with the horns anyway. I do find it gets gets quite repetitive, and the drums can be a bit overbearing, but really, that's their thing, and it's a good thing.

A horrible modern attempt at ska. There is no space for beauty in the music

This would be amazing if the horns weren't so god damn sloppy.

I'm writing a review of it. It'll be up in a few days.
That'll Be the Day is pretty sloppy at some points in the faster stuff and sometimes there's serious balance issue where the trumpet just dominates all the chord voicings. If Streetlight's rhythm section met Bandit of the Acoustic Revolution's horn line, that would be amazing.

They are practically the same thing, at least on this recording.

Really? They're so much better on the BOTAR recording.

Listening to this for the first time. The first half so far is sex and a half.

This is probably my all time favourite album.
2007 is going to be so sweet, with both a BOTAR and a SM full length. Unfortunately at this rate it seems that the SM album won't be released till about 2010.
