A Solitary Reign is ridiculously overdubbed. That's what turns me off a bit from that track even though it's quite the banger I must say.

SNIFF I love you! The first person that has understood what im saying! I still love that track but it takes away from what makes the clean vox in Amenra so pure and honest sounding. That fragility (i keep saying that but its the most apt word). Me and my friends have been amenra fans over a decade and even they dont agree with me. Its a SMALL hang up. And the only flaw on it for me. I also dont think the opener is a strong as 'The pain is shapeless' or 'Silver needle golden nail' But its not a competition. For this point in time and as a whole its an ,as expected, wonderful record.

Yeah I get that completely. It took me repeated listens to really feel it. Thats one thing , as ive said, Im confused about. I really dont see this being their 'darkest' record in the slightest.
