The lead singer does not have a unique voice at all. And don't give 1985 a bad rating just because it's overplayed, judge it on how good it was before that time.

i think a handful of you critics are taking your "constructive criticism" a little too far. all i wanted to do was pass some time before 9 last night, so i signed up here, and reviewed this album. what i meant by "it's a classic" was that it's classic to me. is that your opinion? i didn't think so. davybum, you can go f-u-c-k yourself, even though i was stoned when i first heard this album. it's got a good lighthearted feel to it. if you don't like it, then say so, and don't listen to the music. i think i detailed it fine. god, some of you guys are douchebags.

I accidently downloaded 1985 a time ago when i was looking for boston songs, and i didn't like it. I guess i'm just not into punk/pop. Either way, the review was decet, but your views and statements are too contradictory. Its not a classic if half the songs are flawed.

God in heaven does this band suck. If any song could be any more obnoxious or as totally NOT funny as their 5-6 sound-alike God-awful singles, absolutely retarded gimmicky "themed" songs where all they can do is name-drop popular stuff and old bands, I'd shoot myself for the radio (and teenyboppers) eating this horrible drivel up. 1/5

I only like one song by this band. It was that huge hit they had. I don't even know if it was but it got a shitload of airplay around where I live.

no the only even remotely good song by this band is valentino, and thats only because the solo is sweet, everything else really lacks anything of musical substance.
