I think the only trend from those days that I latched onto was nu-metal in the early 2000s when I was getting into music heavier than standard heavy metal but I was still too wimpy for death or black metal.

I listened to two tracks from Mellon Collie and one from Siamese dream, and I really disliked them all quite strongly. But I did give them as fair a chance I could.
I listened to 'Tonight Tonight', 'Bullet Butterfly Something or Other' and 'Cherub Rock'.
All very different, admittedly, but all bad. I don't get the 90s rock sound.

I actually wasn't even going to bother with this record, since Aeronaut really didn't interest me, but man I heard a few more from one of his recent solo concerts and it sounded like it had potential - Will Patrick may about to just swindle me again!
