songwriting went more atmospheric and "progressive"

Amulet is decent, this destroys it tho. On letting go is far and away their magnum opus imo

I like Blue Sky more, but On Letting Go also slays. Amulet is better than Violet Waves and Decensus, but its still just not that interesting.

Blue sky is absurdly overrated imo. Lot of generic and downright cheesy songs

Yeah, I definitely feel like I enjoy their first three albums more as of now. I like their three most recent, but I just feel like I "connect" more with Juturna, OLG, and BSN. Not sure if it's just because I've had more time with them or what, but yeah.

This band hasn't put out anything below a 4 but this is my least favorite. Act Appalled and Holding Someone's Hair Back are classics. House of Leaves is awesome too

In fear and faith is such a jam..
It goes, Juturna > On Letting go > BSN > Descensus > The Amulet > Violent waves, for me..

I don't think anything in their catalogue will actually top The Amulet for me, but this is fucking amazing nonetheless. Really glad I finally got around to exploring their music.

On Letting Go == Juturna >> Blue Sky Noise >> The Amulet >> Violent Waves >> Decensus
Just picked this up on vinyl and I'm stoked to have a listen after work. The Amulet is also shipping, but I think I like it a lot more than most.

This is all so good. My fucking heart. I’ve been listening to this thing casually for like 12 years and I’m suddenly floored by how otherworldly these songs are. I’ve always had certain favorites; wish resign, holding someones hair back, stop the fucking car, but now those don’t matter cuz this whole record is alien and cohesive. I love most of what Circa has done but they haven’t since cut an album that goes off like this
