Gotta love a wistful and depressing summer album

dude it's like 80 degrees here and 90% humidity day in-day out fuck summer
it's all about depressingly desolate winter albums, anyways

Uh, this is also the GOAT winter jam, all long shadows and sheltering spiders hiding in your bedroom.

Listened to this four times in a row now today, not many albums I'd contemplate that - honestly this is a bit of a masterpiece

Pleasantly surprised at these tunes, never dug Ariel Pink before. "Time to Live" is excellent, "Feels Like Heaven" and "Another Weekend" are highly enjoyable. Rating is between a 3.5 and a 4.

Lucid I'd say there are a few deep cuts too - but then I already liked the Pink shtick in advance of this album

I think for non-fans the first half is more immediate and enjoyable. I can get through the second side but don't find highlights there.

I really enjoy the last three songs now, but they're less immediate I see that

Wasnt a fan of Pom Pom's but all the singles for this were really promising. Cant wait to jam
|

This album is certainly more album-y than Pom Pom, that's for sure.

Agreed, his most album-y since 'Before Today'
