the faceless dropped IE from their tour stating that Cam raped one of their friends.

Cam made a statement afterwards explaining that this women is mentally ill and has blamed him for rape 10 years ago, and she is randomly bringing it back up for no good reason other than to mess with him.

not sure which is real but as with all these things, can't really comment since its a he said, she said ordeal.

yeah its always a good idea not to immediately victim blame and wait for more information.

Is tech-death always progressive, or does it just have more shredding/difficult to play sections & the 2 aren't necessarily eternally bound? Dumb question, forgive me superior overlords.

Idk but the tags seem joined at the hip these days even tho there's absolutely nothing progressive about 99% of tech death

Yeah I think the fact everything is lumped together is confusing for a relative newbie to DM like myself.

I don't want to limit myself to one exclusive area but if you asked me right now then progressive DM (i.e. interludes, weirdness, experimentation & songs that aren't just relentless slabs of crushing brutality) appeals to me, not necessarily techy stuff unless it's also focused on the former descriptors. I like bands that slow the tempo occasionally & don't play thrash/death at breakneck speed for an entire album. Also, atmosphere is very important to me.

Now if only Sputnik had a sophisticated 'find a band' search facility where I could type all that in... :-)

Not bad, a clear improvement over the last one. Hopefully I remember this tomorrow.
