Yeah for sure. Its hard to call it mockery when the band is as good as they are. Considering their music could hold its own just fine without the herb schtick has to count for something.

And here I've just been thinking of heading over to Amsterdam just to do some weed for a weekend. Will this do, though?
|
| |
Lol who travels just to smoke pot
|
| |
Well, I live in Ireland where weed is illegal and Holland is the nearest country where it is totally legal so...

I remember back in highschool we'd blaze behind some trees near a bus stop across the street from a military property all the time, and they could definitely see us but didn't care. One time a dude in a tank rolled by (which was shocking in and of itself) and gave us the universal "smoke a joint" gesture as he rolled passed us. It was one of the greatest moments of my entire life.

Lmao, yeah it is pretty common for people here in Nordic Europe to travel to Amsterdam just for that too. I feel ya Ikarus!
In my younger days when I was still into wake and bake, I would never in my wildest dreams listen to death metal while high, way too aggressive and just... loud, haha. I've never understood why anyone would want to toke to reggae either, I never found anything in it.
I usually went for "smoother" metal like Tool (especially tracks like Lateralus...), post-rock like God is an Astronaut, post-metal like ISIS and so forth. My personal fave was always Native American flute music though! Jeff Ball and R. Carlos Nakai are great. Have to give one last shout-out to Zeppelin's track 'Moby Dick' as well. Classic.

This reads a lot more like a band review than it does an album review.
