Thought you might enjoy this one butcher, the '26' album is even stranger and I think you'd appreciate some of the Crucifucks stuff.
AitB - well played if you manage to pick up the vinyl. Bigger challenge, picking up the follow up to this album....that was only ever released on cassette

Fuck me, falling in love with Falling right now

Nice to see you reviewing again, Doof. You've been missed.
Must be something in the air. I asked Butcherboy just yesterday to listen to an artist I'd consider a true eccentric, a very raw "punk" artist (for lack of a better label) that I just created a Sputnik page for, named Steve Lieberman (aka, The Gangsta Rabbi). He's probably more up bb's alley than yours, but check him out if the mood takes you.

Thanks Diva. With a name like 'Gangster Rabbi' how could I ignore him?

Doof do you think I might dig this?

Boney, my guess would be no for this one, not sure you'd embrace the vocals. Maybe give Fear of Abandonment a try on YouTube.
You'd be better off with my other recent 5 rating - Palace Music 'Lost Blues'. Will Olham's best release, stronger than 'I See a Darkness' for my money.

Fair enough Doof, I'll try that tune though I went ahead and downloaded the album anyway so I may give it a full spin at some point regardless.

Lost blues is a gem

It really surprised me Nero, if I was being really picky there are a couple of songs I wish they'd chopped to make it feel even more like an 'album' and less like a compilation - but there's a crazy amount of top level material on there so it's still an easy 5

I've added Lost Blues to the (now pretty large) collection of Oldham albums sitting on my computer waiting to be heard.

It's the perfect intro to his pre-Bonnie 'Prince' output

yeah thats why i prefer I see a Darkness and Viva Last Blues, they just work better as albums.

Nice having some post office hell doofus reading. Why i have the feeling i haven't read a review from u for some time doof? Maybe because i'm a twat?

I'm reviewing at a rate of about one review every month now is the reason bud ;D
|
| |
And here I was thinking I was missing a torrent of content. Once a month is still better than none at all. I'll take it, doof.

I'm in semi retirement. Also been doing those 'Top 100 songs by...' lists which take longer to write than a review. A bit of a thankless task thinking about them now :D

This is really good

It's on that border between 3.5/4, I just don't feel compelled enough to listen to it for it to hit that 4 level!
