I still jam The Fake Sound of Progress. No shame

I used to be a casual fan and have asked myself the same question when it comes to listening to them but you know what I can't do it because the music has aged terribly and it's impossible to not to think of how disgusting that pedo singer is. They should be erased from everyone's memory imo

The music of these guys has always been average as hell, they were just an incubus clone for scene kids, actually yesterday I listened last train home and despite of been generic it was tolerable. But thinking about Ian Watkins makes my blood boil

@CaliggyJack
There exist pieces of work that bluntly praise pedophilia and sexual abuse.
Does Lostprophets' music praise pedophilia ? No.
Does it has anything to do with Ian Watkins' crimes ? No.
There's no reason why you should feel bad for enjoying it, and even less feel like a monster.
If you share a song of the band with someone who's never heard of them and that person loves it, wouldn't you be the greatest idiot to think it has anything to do with the condoning of a criminal sexual deviance ?

I sort of agree but you do have to understand where some people are coming from.
To many, it can be hard to hear those vocals and disconnect the voice, from the man whose voice it belongs to.

I was actually jamming Fake Sound of Progress yesterday. I still like the record.

Well, I've got the feeling that I vexed you a bit. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. I only wanted to underline how much I think it is absurd to even think of passing a judgement on people who simply appreciate Lostprophets' music because you do sound a bit tortured in your review.
I haven't listened to the betrayed since I learnt about Ian Watkins' crime so I'm definitely part of the people who cannot yet disconnect the voice from the crimes as you describe them. But I would never consider the capacity to do so or not as linked with any moral sense or lack of it.

Naw, yer good mate. I agree, we should both respect those who can no longer listen to those albums and respect those who still can.
