I can see why this album would be considered as monotonous.
All but every track is groove orientated but by keeping the album to 8 tracks there's not much fat to trim.

The monotony mixed with a short run-time is what made it work. I reckon if they'd changed either aspect then it wouldn't have had as much of an effect.

Are we talking monotonous in terms of song structures i.e. songs are very similar and tracks not standing out as much or are we talking pop level monotony? Because I don't necessarily mind the former in my DM records.

Mantra was alright but it didn't have much staying power and I never really returned to it. Didn't have much interest in this at first because of that.

Mantra wasn't bad at all, but not up to the Decapitated standard, still some good stuff on it. This one is similar to "Organic Hallucinosis" but with better solos.
