In defence of the 0.5 rating
The music on this album makes me feel like Frank when he collapses to the floor clutching his fake head after the ginger lad starts singing and playing the guitar. When asked what's wrong I'd simply reply 'the music is bad'

This is my least favourite album of 2017, it's to my ears the least inspired, most forgettable, most redundant record of the 200 or so I've spun. That warrants a 0.5 (bear in mind in reality half my 1 ratings should really be 0.5 ratings)

I'm not blind hating the band, I have the debut at a 2 and played it 20 or so times when it came out. This band should be my sort of thing, at least a bit.

if an album has an absence of good then IMO it starts at 0/5 and has to fight its way out of the hole. I have no quibble with 0.5 ratings tbh. ppl are just used to 0.5-1.5 reviews being over-the-top in how terms of heaping shit onto the album in question. do yo' thang
