I have no idea how people can listen to songs like Gospel of John Hurt or Bloodflood pt. II and not immediately fall in love tbh
anyway, this is AOTY

This Is All Yours def wasn't as bad as others like to make it out to be, but this shows them meeting the potential in the balladry that TIAY showed.

those are a couple of the songs that make the album a worthwhile listen. i was harsh with my 2.5 for This Is All Yours mainly bc i loved what came before it, but it's still a good album on the whole.
regardless, thanks for the pos's guys, was unsure about this review

his voice in Snare sounds like they're trying to do mimic a Dylan type thing, I don't hate it at all but it's the weakest song for sure. love the way you described it in the review
Last Year/Pleader is music man was not meant to hear

thanks rowan!
and how do you mean? as in man doesn't deserve to hear those songs bc they're so lovely? or are you disagreeing with what the review said? ")

Considering Rowan's rating, I'm guessing he meant the former

Paragraph about imagining what the band's writing space is fucking fantastic.. Great review as per usual.. album is added to the tall stack of things to get through in the next month!

yeah good point, i took the latter as, he meant the songs sounded too intimate and private for people to listen to. not that they weren't good enough
