Ive only heard a few tracks off this album and I like them quite a bit.

the 60s kicked ass. well, mostly.

agreed, the music from then owns over anything and everything.

The 60's rock! exellent review dude! I hate how rolling Stone f*cks up bands with their unjust labeling. I am really loving this album much! (the guitar riff from "In a gada da vida" is fairly similar to "Sunshine of your love" which was copied by Sabbath in "N.I.B" I really would recommend this album to anyone who is into that whole late 60's rock scene.

i think my brother has the title track somewhere on the PC after hearing it on the simpsons (funny episode, that one!), so i mite go listen soon.
as for LSD being fatal, it isn't directly, but even if you only have one tab of it at any point, there's a chance you could get a flashback later in life. if you happen to be driving on a busy road and suddenly giant pink spiders start crawling on your face, you're gonna get mangled pretty sharpish, taking plenty of ppl with u.
and the whole story of syd barrett going into pink floyd's practice space and holding a toothbrush level and jumping up and down to brush his teeth is another reason never to do acid...

Excellent review, thought the ending was sort of weak compared to the rest. This band is just laughable more often than not.

the 60's had the best music there ever was. and usualy u only get flashbacks from acid if u have a bad trip. but im pretty sure syd already had mental problems b4 doing acid which wouldnt help him at all though

Somehow I doubt you know all the music there ever was.

No, you don't. Flashbacks are unpredictable, and can happen to anyone who's done the drug, regardless of whether or not the trip was good or bad.
Anywho, I'm sort of wondering why you negged his review.

Hell yeah. 1765 was a damn fine year for Luigi Boccherini. God, his Fifth Movement for the Violin is mind-blowing!

Tell you what- if you drop acid every day for a month and have no negative side-effects what-so-ever, then I'll shut up.

Perhaps I was raped of my neg-vote virginity because...of the question marks?

Let's not forget about a young virtuoso in the 1800's by the name of Dionso Aguado who composed some of the guitars most timeless works.

Alot of people don't like it because it's the most cliche example of 60's indulgence known to mankind.
Oh, it also sucks pretty bad.

Iron Butterfly is good for what it is. It's great for late 60's acid pop. You can't ask it to do anymore that that.

It doesn't happen very often, but once in a blue moon, I take this out and play it. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida is the only highlight, overdone as it is; Termination is good too, the rest is mediocre at best
Excellent review, btw
