I like it a lot. Yes, a couple songs don't work, and Hayley's voice could be featured more. But it's a nice, fresh start. Anxious to hear where they go in the future. It's the kind of music I was hoping Gwen Stefani could pull off.

I just listened to their debut and it was just annoying and whiny pop punk, with some decent instrumentation. No thanks.

Gotta agree better than first 3 albums though brand new eyes is a close second.

I find this more interesting as its more experimental for the band but brand news eyes is definitely great

Kerim did you ever like pop punk? There was a definitely a time and place for that sound, it made perfect sense in the Fueled by Ramen scene. Many of us enjoyed their previous sound when we were part of the target audience. Listeners in their mid-20s would find those records embarrassing now but they were great for what they aspired to be.

New Fleet Foxes leaked, absolutely phenomenal albums released last week, but I just cannot stop listening to this fucking album. I am in love. My favorite of theirs

AmericanFlag I couldn't disagree more, the first album is my favorite and most of it is really heavy emotionally, with the last 3 songs in particular being the band's most hard hitting. If anything the pop punk was most prevalent on the second album.

I did. I used to listen to a lot of Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco when I was in my early teens, but now I cannot stand most of it. It's not even the instrumentation, which can be fine, but something about how they carry their voice and how they deliver their lines annoys me so much. I remember listening to My Chemical Romance and thinking they were so cool and then I discovered The Shins, Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem and my whole music taste changed.

I really dig this, it's such a good direction for them. I still think Riot and the debut are better, but this is a step back in the right direction after the self titled

Same thing happened for me don't really do too much pop punk these days, used to be a pretty big MCR fan but fell off once I got into this site and discovered way more music.

I'm just happy a Paramore album is relevant in 2017. They didn't go the way of Fall out Boy at all.

I am happy for that as well. They actually innovated a sound, not just copy-paste.

can we all just appreciate how this album is a solid 20 minutes shorter than their last album
that goes a long way towards making it more likeable
