Technically, Billy Talent is their second album, if you include Watoosh!, which they recorded as Pezz.

I saw these guys live last summer. They were ok, but I lost some respect for them because they told everyone in the audience to put up their middle finger and say fuck george bush, it seemed kind of like they were jumping on the Green Day bandwagon

I honestly can't hear that "Green Day bandwagon" shit anymore.

This whole "Dude, this band suddenly goes political and it sucks" routine is really getting old. Let it rest folks

fine. It just kind of seemed like they weren't even going political or even cared about the issue. It just seemed like some dumb cliche to get people to like them

I don't think that the second album is going to be as great as the first!! "Red Flag" and "Devil In A Midnight Mass" are great songs but I've heard two other, "Surrender" and "This Suffering", Which i am not too sure if they are the album version, But I didn't really enjoy them. Have any of you guys heard these two songs??

Where do you get Surrender and This Suffering? I've been looking for them for a while.

But ya, if DIAMM is any indication, this album will kick some serious ass.

After more listening, I have decided to give this album a 4.5 instead of a 5. I have a few reasons for this, namely my hearing their 2nd record, as well as other things.

I did like this band, but music channels play them way to much, and after awhile they become more pop punk then anything.

This is my favorite CD in my collection as of now(unitl I get II and the new Rise Against CD)and to me this is a definitly solid CD any way you look at it. Musically, Ian has works great riffs to give the overall feeling of what the songs should be and Jon helps this by adding great basslines. Lyrically a little immature in some places but still very good. And all songs can hold their own. Definite must have for any punk or alt rock fan and good buy for anyone.
