How often does Cory scream on this? I see you mentioned that he screamed in the last song, is that the only instance of it?

It's like 10 seconds of screaming, that's it.

That's a shame, I loved his screams. I'll give this a shot, but I don't expect much after those singles

Great album, but none of the songs matched up to The Sound of Us so the album as a whole did let me down a teensy bit

Just started jamming this. Track 5 is disgusting levels of bad.

Only straight up "bad" song on here is the spoken word track, but other than that this is really impressing me considering how dull the band's previous work has been.

That's track 5. I'm not really paying attention to the names. I'd say the album has been total shit up until track 7 (Infinite Chances) where it goes up in quality a bit to at least "interesting"

Track 6 actually 'The Smoother the Stone'

Just kidding! I'm listening on a youtube stream and so many of the tracks blend into the next that I have no idea when a track ends sometimes. I guess that means track 8 is the first one I enjoy.

But I honestly am finding it weird how older fans aren't enjoying this. To me it's infinitely more interesting and engaging compared to their previous work. The new clean vocals are exceptionally better than the really dull old ones, and this album is actually full of hooks and interesting and catchy moments. All their previous work just sounded like it wanted to fit an aesthetic but never bothered to actually sound engaging

The [old] vocals are exceptionally better than the really dull [new] ones, and this album is [devoid of anything of substance]. All [the new material] just sounds like it wants to fit an aesthetic but never bothers to actually sound engaging.

You and I have literal polar opposite opinions on this band lol. Which is fine, to each their own.

He screams on one other song but it's crazy short. Like two lines. The closer has a super short verse of screaming.

snox I wouldn't be hard on ya except you talk so much shit about their old albums but in the "Trace the Lines" thread you admitted you hadn't even listened to any of it so I just wonder why?

I just looked at the songs that convinced me this album wasn't shit and I decided it's shit.
