wish there were more tracks like Kaleidoscope, that one sounds like it could've been on Flowers for My Father

The bad taste in some of the comments WTF, Sadistik is great

Yeah his early stuff at least set somewhat of a bar for himself, despite being very underwhelming. This is just everything I dislike about him turned to eleven

god what a horrible album cover

everything about the cover makes me want to avoid this like the plague

Surprised by some of the hate here. Sadistik doesn't bend to the will of the mainstream or second guess what people want him to make. It's honest music straight from the heart. Admittedly a few tracks on this one miss the mark a little, and appreciate it's a niche genre, but I'm surprised people think it's "cringe" or "horrible". Each to their own I guess.

So many artists (especially hip-hop artists) basically ape other successful artists because they think that's what will sell. Originality in hip-hop is at a premium right now. Sadistik doesn't sound like anyone else.

There are plenty of rappers doing the dark and edgy bullshit that Sadistik has been shoving out for years.
Kristoff Krane comes to mind instantly.

My main gripe with Sadistik is that his delivery is too vapid and that his lyrics are way too melodramatic to take serious or get invested in. Cage for example has been doing the whole tortured and dark hiphop thing far longer than Sadistik but his music legitimately sounds tortured (I'm not a hardcore fan of him either but I can dig him a lot more, especially his older work). I'm not saying Sadistik doesn't have his own demons or that he doesn't put his passion into his songs, but there would certainly be better ways for him to express those feelings, at least in my opinion. But as long as his very passionate fanbase likes it then he's doing a good job in a way, so more power to him. He's just never going to win me over like this, that's all.

DazSkunk - that's an interesting perspective - I think early Cage is a legitimate point of reference for Altars, positively or negatively.
With regard to many of the other comments above, I clearly overestimated Sputnik as a forum for intelligent discussion of music, apologies.
