I feel like Australia is disproportionately backwards when it comes to some things but eh I just don't like the country. There's almost nothing redeeming about the cities, the culture, the people, the weather, the wildlife, the taxes, the currency, the prices, the standard of living, etc.
I mean even one of the cutest Australian native animals has the most painful injected toxin in the world that literally can't be quelled. People like to joke about our wildlife but the proof is in the pudding

New Zealand possibly yes but I was only there for a fortnight, but I was in London for 3 weeks last year and it honestly a hell hole; cramped, squalid, overpriced (not unlike aus), shit produce, more dangerous and a general inhospitable attitude about a lot of the people there. Plus its signature inclement weather. I don't see many redeeming features.
