Well this indeed turned out way better than I dared to hope, very listenable.

Keen to give this a listen, I slept on the last LP a bit but liked Dynamite. Agree with the reviewer about tracks like 'Hot Tequila Brown'.
BTW I know we're all playing it cool being careful to call Jamiroquai a band and distinguish Jay Kay from the Jamiroquai name, but they're really just one and the same now.

Maybe, but they haven't released a bad album so far. Rock Dust Light Star was excellent, so I'll give this a listen.

I totally don't get the all the love for Rock Dust Light Star, for me it's just uninspired and boring, especially compared with all their other excellent releases. The only miss in the whole discography. But on the other hand this band is simply amazing so nvm.

this albums nice, superfresh and hot property are really bad though.

I need to check this out, but I'm way to immersed into the new Mastodon's record and the genre switch might not be a good idea. I've always loved Jamiroquai, really hoping this is good...

Can confirm this goes pretty hard. Very much inspired by 'Get Lucky'... so much that it delivers in ways that we wanted Random Access Memories to.
I find myself just giving into it, despite Jay Kay being one of the most arrogant, unappealing fucks in the whole music business. I don't even mind him singing about Candy Crush.
BTW I liked 'Superfresh' :[

That's a really cool album cover.

I thought I was going to hate jamiroquai because in the last albums he focused more in disco rather than the acid jazz genre he helped to create, but he's doing it really great. A funk oddysey is a guilty pleasure.

Nothing to feel guilty about :] A Funk Odyssey is a great album.
But I totally have to agree with Voivod again. The more I listen to this the more I miss Jamiroquai beeing a proper band. They were outright awesome back then... This is a bit shallow...
