"it is a pretty tough break that kids thought this was punk first of all, and that is good respectable music second"
jesus fucking christ this album didn't invent punk rock or anything but could you at least once show some respect towards post-80s music? i know you wish all punk sounded like the ramones or something but that's just not how it goes, musical evolution is a thing you know and i'm really glad it is so

Pentagram Curious Volume 3.5
The Grateful Dead Wake Up To Find Out 5.0
One of the great shows in the Deads legacy, primarily due to the guest appearance of Branford Marsailis, who without even a rehearsal steps up and puts a great groove in some of the great dead songs including, the best rendition of Eyes of the world

first of all, showing your ignorance by calling that music dad rock pretty much sums up my point, using smash as the foundation to exploration is pretty limiting to your musica taste
artuma, christ man get a little sence of humor, and I will not back down on not post 80's i would say post 90's music sucking,
and cherry picking my stuff to make me look bad is pety, not to mention if I cared enough, I am sure that posting your rating lists could be pretty funny a well
and I do not have 2 billy Joel albums fived, if it is it is a mistake, and for what he is it is pretty good
just so we are clear, Nirvana did not invent music, they kinda suck, Smash is a decent album, for mainstream pop punk, and anybody who wants to slam the Dead will have to step up and actually listen to the albums I reviewed or that I 5'd before they make comments.

"and I do not have 2 billy Joel albums fived, if it is it is a mistake"
my dad struggles with technology too.
also don't get your catheter in a bunch.

snake, not sure what you are trying to prove, those are pretty diverse set of albums you chose not to mention that many are pretty awesome,
sorry no Green day, or blink 182 or at the drive in or any other middle school faves
lol, you guys should learn how to take a joke, did the biz markie reference go over your closed little minds

lmao my dad has been alive longer than the dead's inception, has like ten rows of vinyl collected, and has a long resumé of doing film scores and playing in several countries across europe
all of this and every time he's driving, he turns to the GD satellite radio station for a split second, turns it off and says out loud "they still suck"
so yeah don't tell me that slamming the dead is ignorant, just get used to the idea that they are a universally known shitty band

what was life like in the sixties, wham? did mad men get it right?
|

I feel bad for anyone who can't give every kind of music a fair shake. Not saying that GD are always a good band, but dad rock can be really good. Also, knocking Converge is a trash move.
