Another hidden gem--nice! Who knew there were so many? Thanks for digging this one up e. I'm really enjoying it . . . I like the way the xylophone and piano play off each other in the first song. I wish there was more of that. L'indien is beautiful. I find the whole album an enjoyable listen from beginning to end. Of course, I do not understand the lyrics so I cannot speak to that. I think it's certainly in the 4-4.5 range, but I want to listen more before rating.

@ Jethro
Thanks, man. I'm interested in both for sure. I'm essentially a great fan of symphonic prog rock, but as you know, I'm a great fan of prog folk too.

I'm very glad you like it. There are much more hidden gems and I'm only talking about those I know. From times to times I'll put a review of some others, you'll see. For instance, the next will be another case of a almost lost album, very close to this one.
About the lyrics in French, I know a little of French to can understand the essential of them. However, I'm not a fluent speaker of that tongue. Noone better than Jethro to talk about it. Anyway, he wrote something about it in one of his comments already.
Thanks for your comment and pos. And in the end, tell me about your final verdict about the rating. By te way, you didn't rated Pentacle's album yet. Did you forgotte it?

@ e. 21
Somehow I felt Pollen's album with many similarities with Pentacle's album, still with some differences. I do not know if it was because the lyrics in French or also because the music. My favourite tracks are Vivre la Mort and La Femme Aillé.

@ Intruder
I felt the same indeed. It wasn't a coincidence I have chose both albums to review at the same time. Of course there are some differences. Pollen's album is probably more original and more acoustic, more unique perhaps in relation to Pentacle's album. Anyway, the simillituses are pretty obvios to me.
About my favourite tracks, probably I agree with you. But I also like very much of "Vieux Corps De Vie D'Ange" and "L'Étoile".

@TWIG, the lyrics here have nothing too special. The themes are more or less peace and love, light and darkness, flying as a bird or climbing higher, variety of dreams and surreal adventures and stuff. It contains its share of metaphores.
My favorites are the first two songs. My favorite part of the album is the ending of the first song...starting with this;
Au fond de toi tu verras LES VIEUX CORPS DE VIE D'ANGE SONT V'NUS CRIER...
-that organ-

Thanks Jethro, and yes that organ is great.
@e21: I should do that now. I was giving it some time to see if the album would grow into a 4.5, but the Pentacle stays a solid 4 for me.

Never heard of these guys. I'll have to put it on my list of bands to check out. I missed this review until now (probably because the site was running so slow last week it was driving me crazy). Nice job.

Nice Divaman. Do that. As it seems you like the album and you missed my last reviews, I think you can be interested on my today's review, "another album from Pollen" and of "La Clef Des Songes" of Pentacle, another band that I'm sure you never heard talking about.
Cheers and have a nice day.
