Been meaning to check this band out for literally over a year, no joke, i just don't like the album cover of the first album, and that played a little but into why i kept putting it off...
With Lost In Vegas doing One Hand Killing it finally gave me the drive to listen to this new album, atleast this album cover isn't ugly like the first one...
I think these guys have the potential to make something great but they don't quite get there with this album, seems like theres a lot of ideas but they don't really go anywhere..
If these guys made a concept album about badass ninja fighting and stuff like that, it would be pretty cool lol

Did this get bumped because of the Lost In Vegas review?

not that TFN needs a reason to get bumped beyond them being awesome. but wth is Lost In Vegas? i'm just seeing some reaction-youtube channel?

That's what it is. They're the shit - couple of chill hip hop dudes reviewing a bunch of metal and other stuff for the first time in their lives and actually being objective. They love Gojira and it's adorable.

I still think New Dawn is the best damn thing they ever made, Silent Machine being a close second. I don't expect much more though after this album.

I think you're right, Sitar. They made a graphic novel, too.

All their material is about a guy who can transform into a twelve-foot ninja.

This is a strange album for me, and overall I'd have to agree that it's an album cut in half. Although I can't really agree that it's from the center; more like it has a handful of simply "OK" songs dispered among some "really good", and only a few that I'd consider "great". One issue that I found was that many of them are actually too short, and seem to end once you start to really get into them. They write mostly progressive material, yet the majority of these songs are way too condensed by about a minute.
For me, the standouts are "One Hand Killing" (Why did they release this as the first single so many months before the album release? It's the best track!), "Collateral", "Monsoon" and "Adios". Not as consistently strong as their previous, stellar releases, yet it has a few songs I'd consider my favorites by them.
"i'll have to check them out, sounds enjoyable"
I don't normally care about reaction videos, but these guys are great, and they've picked some excellent songs. They are also especially good to watch if you have someone who you're trying to get into metal, or someone who generally listens mostly mainstream stuff.

One Hand Killing took a while to grow on me, but I still don't like Monsoon at all.
Oxygen is such a great song too. I know I've said this before, but it's ridiculous how great even acoustic versions of these songs sound in the hands of the band. Y'all should go check out their random acoustic versions of Coming For You, Oxygen, and Kingdom right meow!

"Why did they release this as the first single so many months before the album release? It's the best track!"
wut?
cuz you release a strong single ahead of an album release to generate buzz and promote?
am I not reading your comment right?

I always thought this band should be called Twelve Foot Nigga. But I guess that'd be offensive since they're wight.
