The analogy uses showed up not invited

I myself was a sad alcoholic who used to go to peoples' parties I did not like just for the hell of it or because it was expected of me

eh idk i know im nitpicking but

in that case, then you make it sound as if X Y and Z sounds are on the burial album because they willed themselves onto it

or more clearly, then you are drawing a comparison between something that has agency and something that doesn't

edit: I mean ultimately the review is good, that analogy just threw me for a loop

"I would call this experimental because Bevan is actually getting rid of the most important thing of his productions, percussion. "

Except that such a thing is already well-established as ambient and lots of producers have done a similar shift in sound in a much better and more coherent way.

Anyways, this letdown is no surprise for me, 'cause I already felt this way about Rival Dealer as well.

I like "Nightmarket" more the A-side of the single.

"Except that such a thing is already well-established as ambient and lots of producers have done a similar shift in sound in a much better and more coherent way."

Fair point, but what I really meant was that it's experimental for HIM, that he is trying new stuff, to the point of getting rid of the most important part of his sound.

I went to a Metallica concert the other night, it was so experimental, they forgot to turn on their amps!
