i don't know if i'd stand by that 4 for crisis today, but I do like cardinals
I remember thinking that watch out had a lot of cool atmospheric elements that they never revisited, but again I haven't listened to it in a while

For me each album got worse and then they rebounded a bit with Dog's Blood cause they ditched the watered down approach taken on Cardinals and started fucking with song structures again.

Cardinals may as well have been a different band but I liked the straightforward, alt rock sound for a one off. They did it well

it would be nowhere near as charming but I wish we could hear these songs re-recorded by the band today. now that dallas is actually a gr8 singer and they have a drummer that can keep time and stuff.
