I don't think it's rehashed much less a missed opportunity to come back with a much bigger bang. Fenriz himself said it isn't meant to be surprising so they're probably dipping their toes back into BM just to recapture their groove for the next album

ill say Tundra Leech is the best song so they set the bar high but the rest are just ass kicking jams.. some riffs sound straight outta Transylvanian Hunger others sound straight outta the 80's Celtic Frost..

Interesting that you say that adr, I suppose there is a very fine line between "rehashed" and "consistent" that has no concrete definition. Guess we just felt different things while listening.

Darkthrone did have a tendency to wear their influences very loudly on their sleeves and this album really isn't an exception. But imo to say this is rehashed would be the same as saying their earlier albums ripped too much from the likes of Celtic Frost, Mayhem, and other bands they were heavily influenced by
