It sounds like absolute garbage. It always baffles me how people who play instruments for a living don't know how an album should be mastered.

I don't get why the hell they want to compress it so much. Okay, the guitars sound louder, but at the expense of dynamic range. Like you said, how do musicians not cringe when they hear such poorly mastered albums

How do they not cringe when they write a 13 song album with said poor mastering and the same damn structure for pretty much each song album after album. Time to progress a little FFS.

I've heard 3 albums from these guys, and apart from a bit of experimentation here and there, they pretty much stick to their generic/standard formula.

I'm just waiting for Myles' solo album. It probably won't be mind blowing, but it'll be a hell of a lot more interesting than Tremonti's version of modern hard rock

Maybe someone will be willing to answer if I rephrase my question... If they aren't talking about specific issues I'm not interested in hearing this, so is it generalized commentary on the state of current affairs or does it go deeper?

God this dude's voice grates and the lyrics are just cringeworthy. It's such a shame because I want to like this band and there is some genuinely great Guitar playing here.
