Vhiessu is the only Thrice record I own, and the only one I can really get into.

And btw, there's nothing wrong with the review. It's lucid, coherent, gramatically correct, features no outright falsities or dramatically incorrect pieces of information, and gives a well-written account of the reviewer's opinion on the album.
I'm about a month away from finishing a degree in English, and have spent pretty much the last four years constantly writing, re-writing, critiquing and deconstructing various arrangements of the english language, so if you really want to throw stones here, back it up.
But my advice is don't bother, because this is a well written review, and it gets my vote. I somehow think you're missing the point of this site.

I really like Eddie's bass playing in this album. IMO, its the best bass playing he has done for thrice. I'm a drummer not a bassist so flame if I'm wrong.

If it's like other reviews, then it's just coincedence. The second paragraph I did look at Wikipedia and put that in there because I wanted to put some band history into the review.

Even more specific, I challenge you all to inform me on how this review was helpful in a way that the other 3 (3? 4? can't remember) weren't. Good luck pals. If you remove my neg, which i DID justify with a perfectly legitimate comment, you will be essentially destroying its very purpose. No, these reviews don't have to be perfect. They don't even have to be great. But this one was completely and hopelessly useless. Unhelpful, boring, useless. And I'm not going to write a review in all likelihood. If I wrote the best review in the world, every retard in this thread would make some retarded personal attack or complain about the grammar in f**king ebonics or something similarly ironic. If I post a review, it sure as hell will not be on this handle. I wrote a few articles for my (university) school paper which were relatively well received. I'm confident enough in my own ability that i don't have to prove anything to you. But MY OWN ABILITY HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH WHY I NEGGED THIS REVIEW. I negged it because i found it boring to the point of being offensive, and not only that, but it's useless as well. (score 5 points for me for correctly calling the wiki search).

Nothing wrong with it... but unless there's something worthwhile inside, it's still useless by any standard. which is what i see in this. the problem with arguing lately is that people tend to argue against people rather than against the points the people make. And yes, opinions are good. mine is an opinion. it's an informed opinion, and i justified it, and i negged the review based on that (formerely) internal justification.

solid work on the review. nothing outstanding, but it was good nonetheless. I havent heard this album, but Vheissu (the album, not the one masking as hellotards) is pretty orgasmic.

um, its not like this is a professional site where the users here get paid for reviews. its a community site and users here are open to review whatever they want. sure, i don't like seeing 7 reviews of one album, but freedom of speech is a two-way street. Besides, multiple reviews can provide a consensus of opinions.
